I work primarily in encaustics and focus on landscape, my work meanders between abstract and representational. I am fascinated by energy infrastructure (power pylons, gasometers, etc) and the industrial landscape but I also love more traditional landscapes, particularly hedgerows. I am currently working on a collaboration with the poet Rona Campbell where I am creating a series of paintings based on her poetry book 'The Hedge'. We've just bought a house in Ponciau and will set up a studio there soon.
