My work reflects the landscapes I experience when travelling overseas, at home in the UK, and from within my memory and imagination. I paint in acrylics using a range of mark making materials & collage. Layering, adding instinctive marks, textures, and fragments of collage to express what cannot be put into words is a big part of my process.
My ambition is to have a solo show and take part in open studio events. I have two pieces entered into the RA Summer Show in 2026. I am constantly learning and being inspired by other artists, experimenting with colour, texture, mediums and composition. I enjoy sketching and painting en plein air, then translating this into my own abstract interpretation. In 2026 I will be moving to a new, larger home studio and my dream is to open this up to the local community and share the joy of creativity.
My influences include David Mankin, Lewis Noble, Pete Monaghan, Wilhelmina Barns-Graham, Wayne Thiebaud, Barbara Rae & Raimonds Staprans
